Oracle BI и подготовка к его установки

Задача поставить Oracle BI на установленную но не подготовленную базу оракла. Важно пользователя и структуру делать не руками, а по инструкции. В противном случае можете столкнуться с ошибками которые будут сообщать о неверном логине или пароле и т.д. Такими как:

INST-08029: Unable to connect to the Database with the given credentials
Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name and password are correct.





1. Что понадобится?

Установленная СУБД Oracle (можно также DB2 или MSSQL, но пусть будет Oracle)
Repository Creation Utility
Business Intelligence


2. Создаем репозиторий.

  1. Download the rcu from oracle (link: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11-download-092893.html )

   You must unzip the file and put it in a easy to access folder. We can consider this folder as an Oracle Home (rcu Home). In my case this is C:\rcuHome

    2. Run the rcu  (Repository Creation Utility):

     cd C:\rcuHome\BIN

     rcu.bat

3. Choose "Create and load component schemas into a database." and press "Next".

The following screen will appear:

In this screen the host name "linux" is the host name I have in the "hosts" file.

4. Choose the database connection details and after that click on "Next" button.

Click on "OK".

5. Choose "Business Intelligence Platform" and let the prefix be "DEV" (if you want you can change it).

"Metadata Services" will be checked if no AS Common Schemas is installed. Click on "Next".

Click on "OK".

6. Choose the password for the DEV_MDS and DEV_BIPLATFORM (in my case I choose "ptest" ).

Click on "Next". The following screen will appear:

7. Choose the tablespace names for the DEV_MDS and DEV_BIPLATFORM schemas.

If you want you can modify some tablespace propreties.

Click on "Next". The following screen will appear:

8. Click on "Create" in order to create the needed schemas (DEV_MDS and DEV_BIPLATFORM) and their tablespaces.

When the schemas/ tablespaces are created the following screen will appear:

Click on "Close" and all the stuff is done. Now you are ready to install the OBIEE Server.

3. Инсталлируем BI 11g

Запускаем ./runInstaller

Выбираем режим инсталляции Enterprise (можно и Simple).

• Simple — простейший с минимумом вопросов
• Enterprise — обычный режим
• Software Only — проинсталлировать, но не конфигурировать BI

Ждем пока пройдут проверки на совместимость. Если возникнут проблемы, то исправляем и повторное запускаем проверки. Настройки подходят от базы данных. Жмем Next.

Указываем, что хотим создать новую систему, прописываем пароль и имя домена Weblogic, в который будет развернут BI:

Указываем путь к домашнему каталогу Fusion Middleware (должен быть пустой каталог). После этого жмем Tab — все остальные поля будут заполнены автоматически. Имеет смысл запомнить значение Oracle Instance Location. Там будут лежать все конфигурационные файлы

Выбираем продукты, которые хотим проинсталлировать (их всего 3). Я оставил все.

Указываем подключение к базе данных в виде строки hostname:port:servicename. Указываем имя пользователя и пароль (мы его создали с помощью RCU, смотрите выше).

Указываем, что порты назначаются автоматически (Auto Port Configuration).

Указываем данные для подключения к metalink

Запускаем инсталляцию.

p.s. от себя добавлю, ставил на виртуалке, выделил 1 ядро от i7 и 1024 ГБ оперативки - это мало! дайте хотя бы 2 ядра и 3ГБ, иначе ставится будет дня 2-3 а потом сервис какой-нибудь не запустит и вылетит в ошибку :)
